Bockingford Watercolour Paper is produced in a traditional way in cylinder paper machines; the quality is similar to handmade papers. White (89% whiteness according to TAPPI), made of cotton cellulose, wood-free paper is acid-free - buffered with calcium carbonate (pH 7-9). The surface texture of the paper is created using natural wool felts creating a characteristic texture; fiber direction on the short side (short grain). The paper does not contain optical brighteners, has high light fastness (min. 6+ on the Blue Wool scale).

Bockingford products are presented in three forms: blocks (glued on four sides), pads (glued on one side on the longer side), spiral (on the short side). The papers are smooth (Hot Pressed - HP), medium texture - texture (Cold Pressed/ - CP [NOT]) and rough texture (Rough - RG).
