“The Baryta Photographique ll Matt paper has an extremely smooth and absolutely matt surface, which accentuates the finest details of a printed image due to the absence of any grain structure or grain disturbances. Because the matt surface does not cause any reflections, the paper is particularly suitable for photographers and artists who present their work in exhibitions.
Although the Baryta Photographique ll Matt is called a digital darkroom photo paper, it should be printed with matte black ink and not black photo ink. With an extremely high D-Max (black density), which corresponds to that of a matte fine art paper, the paper offers exceptionally good contrast reproduction as well as intense colors and depth.
The second generation of the popular digital darkroom paper has the same barium sulfate (barite) layer as the Baryta Photographique II and also benefits from improved processability. The Canson Baryta Photographique II Matt paper offers photographers and printers a unique aesthetic and feel."
